My Coffee Photos and the Stories they Tell
TripsLooking through my photos I realized I had many photos of coffee from different places or times, and each one had a story. I thought it would be interesting to look back, and see the memories that each picture holds. In addition, I believe every cup of coffee tells a story. Every cup of coffee is an experience, some more memorable than others. I will share with you some of my favorite coffee photos, or should I say my favorite coffee stories held within the photos.

Coffee with a View
Drinking coffee with the backdrop of the beautiful Alaskan Mountains is not just a regular cup of coffee. These photos were taken in November 2022 at Kaladi Brothers Coffee in Anchorage, Alaska. The view is a big part of the coffee experience. The coffee experience is a sum of many parts. Sitting down with these views was one of my most amazing coffee experience.

A Morning Stroll in Copenhagen, Denmark

This photo was taken in Copenhagen, Denmark. It was a Sunday morning in February 2019, and was my last morning in Denmark. I had taken a early morning walk, and then stopped to get coffee at the Coffee Collective before heading back to my Hotel before catching the train back to the airport.
I remember the coffee being good, but more than that I recall the peace and calm of that winter morning. I was on the final day of a solo trip and I was living very much in the present. I sat alone, admiring the Copenhagen Architecture, and being amazed by all the bikes. Thinking back to this moment, I am so blessed to have had the moment of just being in the moment, enjoying coffee, taking in the scenery, and appreciating the stillness.
Elegance in a Cup at Ralph’s Coffee

Ralph’s Coffee in NYC is just a vibe. A great vibe, its elegant and relaxed, and being there just puts you in a good mood, and that’s all before you taste the coffee. The coffee is great, but the overall experience is even better. I was there with a good friend, so my memory of coffee at Ralph’s in midst of a day of shopping in NYC is spectacular, and just the thought of it makes me smile!
Starbuck’s in St. John, Newfoundland

Drinking Starbuck’s in St. John, Newfoundland is not the same as at home. We were in Newfoundland over November 2017, and it was cold, rainy and so windy. When I travel I like to try new places, and go to small local shops, so I do not remember what prompted us to go to Starbuck’s. I remember the interior being dark, and we walked over after visiting Jellybean Row. I do not remember the taste of the drinks, but I do remember the amazing trip I had there. This photo is so much more than two cups of Starbuck’s, its a memorable trip to St. John, Newfoundland.
Infinite Possibilities in Reykjavik, Iceland

In January 2019, I took a solo trip, and started in Iceland. I took this photo on one of my first days there. I was staying at the Icelandair Hotel near the Marina, and
Conclusion
Coffee is more than a drink. Its an experience, and every cup of coffee has a story to tell. I no longer drink coffee, but I hold on to the memories. You can read more about why I stopped drinking coffee (here).
