French Country Roadtrip from Paris

Visiting Paris has been a dream, and I am so exciting to be going. But being a country girl, I wanted to experience the scenic countryside as well. I wanted to experience the slowness of the country along with the bustle of the city of lights.

I will be taking the EuroStar from London to Paris, which arrives at the Gare Du Nord Station. I will pick up a rental car from the Gare Du Nord Station, and then head North outside of Paris towards the Normandy Coast.

I want to see the picturesque White Cliffs and Arches in Etretat, so I decided to stay partway between Paris and Etretat to split up the driving.

Day 1

  • London to Paris on Eurostar (2hr 30min)
  • Pick up Rental at Gare du Nord
  • Drive to Porte-de- Seine via A13 (2hr 20min)
  • Stay in Porte-de-Seine for Night 1

Day 2

  • Drive from Porte-de-Seine to Etretat (1hr 30min)
  • Explore White Cliffs in Etretat
  • (Optional Activity)
  • Return to Porte-de-Seine for Night 2

Day 3

  • Leave the Porte-de-Seine
  • Drive to Vernon (40 mins)
  • Explore Vernon
  • Drive from Vernon to Giverny (11mins)
  • Explore Monet’s House and Garden in Giverny
  • Drive from Giverny to Gare du Nord in Paris (1hr 30min)
  • Drop off Rental at Gare du Nord
  • Stay in Paris for Night 3
