Adidas Adios Pro 3 and Nike Vaporfly 2 Size Comparison
Running . Running Shoes . ShoppingI was looking to replace my Nike Vaporfly Running Shoes, and I have been eyeing the Adidas Adios Pro 3’s for some time now. With all the recent sales on the Adios Pro 3, I decided to go for it since they had my size in a color I liked (the orange), which is not often. I ordered the 6.5M/7.5W since my usual size is a 7.5. I have the Adidas Takumi Sen 9 in 6M/7W, and they fit well for a short distance, but not much room for my feet to swell, so I decided was probably best to order my usual size.
I tried the shoes on immediately when they arrived. The orange color is gorgeous and bright! The look fast. I noticed immediately that the shoes are indeed wide in the midfoot, and very generous with room. I also had lots of space at the front. They are significantly wider than the Nike Vaporfly.
Adidas did not have my size in any colors. I found a size 6M/7W on REI in the Un-dyed Colorway, and they were also 75$ cheaper ($125 USD!), so of course I ordered them.
The size 6M/7W is a much better fit, and I am keeping them. I still have room at the front, and the width is very forgiving! I do not particularly love the white for a racing shoe (I think racing shoes, should be bright and loud), but for such a deal, and its not like they are available in my size in another color.
From just trying them on, they definitely feel like they have a better lockdown than the Vaporfly’s, which I had to tie in obscure ways to keep my heel from slipping.
Adidas Adios Pro 3 and Nike Vaporfly Sizing
| Shoe | Size | |
| Adidas Adios Pro 3 | 6M/7W | Wider forefoot/ midfoot area. Better lock down than the Nike Vaporfly 2 |
| Nike Vaporfly 2 | 7.5W | Wore them for multiple races, but since strengthening and stretching my feet and toes, they feel small, and my toes hit the ends |
How does the Adidas Pro 3 compare to the Adidas Takumi Sen 9?
| Adidas Adios Pro 3 | 6M/7W | Roomier in width and length than the Takumi Sen 9 |
| Adidas Takumi Sen 9 | 6M | More narrow, and slightly shorter than Adios Pro 3, but fit my foot perfectly. |
| Nike Vaporfly 2 | 7.5W | The most narrow, and tightest of all despite having the 7.5. |

Adidas TERREX Speed Ultra Trail Running Shoes – Purchased a size 7.5 and way to tight in midfoot. Returned since they were too small, and didnt find them comfortable.
