Calmness of Christmas Morning Running on December 25, 2023

So I have exciting news. I signed up for the Philadelphia Marathon last night. The Marathon is scheduled for November 24, 2024! I am so happy I signed up, and going for it! I have almost a year to prepare, and hope to share my journey. It will be hard, but I can do hard things. It’s not about winning its about doing!

I went running this morning, and we were the only ones out there today! The streets were quiet, and sky was dark, but there was a beautiful calmness to the morning. There is just something about being out there before everyone is awake, and sky is still dark, especially Christmas Morning! It felt good to have done it, and recognizing that I went out and did it when most people stayed in. I did it. Every day counts. I keep getting better each day. Excited for 2024! This will be my first year of Marathon training.
